Bryan of Toledo went a questing for
For a maiden with his brother and Mage
Michael of Jersey. The maiden lived far
Far away in a tower tall and light
Day and night she waited for one brave knight
And when the sun rose over the brown green hills
Bryan and Michael slayed the dragon fierce
Magic flashed and sword clashed ‘gainst talon sharp
At last, dragon slayed, they found the maiden
But she was no damsel in distress, No,
She was Via of Athens, no damsel,
But wise, cunning, fair, tried and true, Yes.
She was grateful for her rescue and ask’d
To repay them with knowledge of all
To assist them with all quests abroad
They agreed, and thus was formed the band three
Wisdom, Might and Magic,  The Three of Life
The Brain and the Muscle and the Heart, Life
They traveled far and near, fighting for all
That is right, just and true, for all the land.
Many adventures brought them closer
They laughed, wept and learned together
Via, Bryan and Michael, The Three of Life.
After 6 years, Via slowly began
To realize she had been falling in love
In love with Bryan of Toledo, she fell.
Alas, alack, he had fallen for another,
He told them one night around the firelight
She had chestnut hair and bright eyes of bronze.
Via excused herself claiming headache
And went to weep alone in the dark night.
Michael the Mage of Jersey came to wipe
Her wet tears. He held her hand and told
Her of his feelings for her, as comfort.
She was shocked and confused at his words.
A seed of doubt in her mind was planted,
Did she have feelings for the Mage as well?
Her heart torn and muddled she looked west
At the sea. On the cliffs she pondered
The sun’s rays died and she knew her
Her only choice. She knelt in the soft hill’s grass
Bryan of Toledo found her sitting there
He took her hand and brushed her soft cheek
You are my chestnut maiden with bronze eyes
He admitted in a whisper so soft
And with that, kissed her ever so gently
The Mage and the Maiden resolved with an
Understanding friendship. The Three of Life
Were again united. Legend tells us
That the fight for right, just and true is only
Strengthened by the enduring power of all love
